Garden Club on a Stormy Day
27th Jan 2026
Sometimes the weather is so bad we can’t be outside, but we’ve lots of garden things to do inside too.
Today we checked on our growing experiment and were very surprised that our seeds in darkness did the best germination. We think that in the early stages of germination the warmth was more important for these seeds and that with all the cold weather the windowsill was too cold!
We picked out what we will plant next week in our mini greenhouses that we are making from milk cartons. Courgettes, bean, tomatoes, cornflowers, nasturtiums.
Finally we practiced our cooking skills with homemade quesadillas with peppers which is one of the vegetables we will grow inside this season.
Everyone really enjoyed the cooking and the eating!!
